People who live outside of San Diego often wonder how it can feel like the holidays when it’s still sunny and 72 degrees outside. But all you have to do is come for a stay at Park Hyatt Aviara and you’ll immediately get it. In fact, you’ll want to make it an annual family tradition.
The Forbes Four-Star Park Hyatt Aviara
Park Hyatt Aviara is a luxury resort beloved by both locals and travelers, especially for its award-winning Arnold Palmer-designed golf course and Miraval Life in Balance Spa.
Although the resort is a popular spot all year round, it is the place to celebrate the holidays, starting with a get-out-the-stretchy-pants Thanksgiving buffet that has become a tradition for my own family.
Ember & Rye Thanksgiving Brunch Buffet at Park Hyatt Aviara
Sure, the carved-for-you turkey and trimmings are excellent at the Thanksgiving Brunch Buffet at Ember & Rye, the hotel’s acclaimed steakhouse, but I am all about the sushi and it’s what I always look forward to the most here. If you want to know everything we ate, just take a look at the menu because, between all of us, I’m pretty sure we sampled every single item on it. More than once.
We love the view overlooking the golf course and we also love gloating over the beautiful weather while our friends and family around the country are cranking up the heat. But what we love most about Ember & Rye is the food. From the traditional carving station to the stellar seafood selections to the breakfast bonanza (pumpkin pie-stuffed French toast!), it’s virtually impossible not to want to try everything.
And all that is before dessert. There are so many options, including shelves full of tarts and pastries designed in mini sizes so you shouldn’t feel guilty about having one (or three) of each.
I’m thankful that we got to celebrate Thanksgiving at Park Hyatt Aviara again and highly recommend you consider making your life easier and booking a reservation yourself next year.
