This autumn, the heritage U.S. watch company Armitron has been running the joyfully named ‘Love Every Second’ campaign to celebrate its golden 50th Anniversary. The New York-based company is also marking the 75th, or diamond anniversary of the Peanuts comic strip with its inspired Armitron x Peanuts Collection. Aimed at adults and younger watch wearers, pieces in the collection feature characters from the Charlie Brown gang on every watch face. The legend, ‘Armitron x Peanuts’ is engraved on each case back, and each timpiece comes packaged in a collectible box featuring artwork of Linus at the piano surrounded by the gang plus a Peanuts comic strip box liner. Priced from $75.00–$95.00, the nine-piece limited-edition range is available exclusively on Armitron.com.
Armitron and Peanuts Have A Long, Shared History
This charmingly quirky collaboration marks a homecoming as the Peanuts gang returns to Armitron, which first featured Snoopy on watch dials in the 1970’s. Since then, Armitron expanded its Peanuts collections in the 1990s and 2000s with animated, musical, and quartz watches. While Armitron has been in the business of celebrating Chales Schulz’s beloved characters with beautifully made and highly collectible timepieces for several decades, this latest project is a labor of love, according to Bobbie Weichselbaum, CEO of Armitron’s parent company E. Gluck Corporation.
“This collection embodies everything Armitron stands for,” Weichselbaum explained. “Celebrating the Peanuts 75the anniversary and Armitron’s 50th year in business, we are celebrating individuality, quality, and timeless style while honoring the cherished, nostalgic memories that shape our lives and that can be passed down through generations. Good Grief!
In this bright ocean-blue watch, Snoopy hangs ten on a surfboard as he is wiping out on a big wave. While the dialogue balloon shows him exclaiming “Good Grief!” adding humor and motion to the design, the ocean theme is embodied in the timepiece’s case, which is made from upcycled ocean-sourced plastic. A matching blue natural rubber strap makes this watch an eco-chic winner in terms of style, and sustainable substance.
The Lineup

Peanuts creator Charles M.
