President Donald Trump is issuing one-time $90 rebates to approximately 20 million older Americans enrolled in Medicare Part B, which covers doctor visits and other services. The White House announced the checks will arrive by early October, meaning they would cover nearly half of the standard monthly premium of about $203. Eligibility is limited to Part B enrollees whose premiums are not already paid by Medicaid and who do not pay an income-related surcharge. To fund the measure, the administration will draw from the Medicare Improvement Fund, established by Congress in 2008. Seniors can verify their eligibility by calling 1-800-633-4227, and those checking payment status can call 1-800-772-1213.
