Demi Moore, 63, revealed that her secret to a long and fulfilling life centers around a simple yet meaningful daily habit shared with her closest friends.
During a recent conversation with Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, the actress opened up about how she starts each day by connecting with a tight-knit group of women through a gratitude-sharing tradition.
“I’m part of a circle where we each list three things we’re thankful for, three struggles or fears we’re facing, and one personal strength or uplifting phrase,” Moore explained. “There’s something deeply powerful about being witnessed, expressing who you really are, and giving others the chance to do the same.”
For Moore, the concept of longevity goes beyond merely defying time—it’s about enriching every aspect of life.
“Longevity isn’t about fighting age; it’s about investing—in yourself, in your loved ones, and in the people around you,” she noted.
She also emphasized how even brief moments of connection can bring a profound sense of purpose.
“Some nights, I reflect on the day and feel grateful for chances to show kindness or warmth, whether through a smile or simply pausing to truly see someone. That feeling stays with me,” Moore shared.
Moore has previously discussed her holistic wellness practices, including meditation, journaling, and following a plant-based diet. In an April 2025 interview, she mentioned feeling more connected to her body now than in her youth.
“I trust what my body tells me now—when it’s hungry, when it needs water. I’m listening more, and I’m not afraid anymore. I used to think my body was working against me, so I tried controlling everything. But not anymore,” she said.
Earlier this year, she also highlighted the importance of winding down properly at night.
“I’ve made peace with my evening routine. Taking time to shift from the noise of the day into calm has changed my life—and yes, skincare plays a role in that,” Moore said.
Recent studies continue to support the idea that meaningful relationships contribute significantly to both mental well-being and physical health. Experts often compare the benefits of strong social bonds to those of regular exercise and balanced nutrition. Meanwhile, prolonged isolation has been linked to disrupted sleep patterns, compromised immunity, and increased risks of cardiovascular issues, stroke, and memory loss.
