People who know me well can confirm that I’m an unwavering, devoted Costco customer.
I’ve held an Executive Membership for more than ten years, and nowadays I stop in at least once a week—occasionally twice—to replenish our family’s favorite groceries.
Although I’m especially fond of our Kirkland Signature essentials and Costco’s selection of salad kits, the warehouse is about much more than food for us. We’ve also discovered exceptional deals on household essentials, presents, and other items.
Here are the five products I will continue buying at Costco—after stopping for a food-court cookie, naturally.
I value Costco’s range of vitamins.
Part of being a grown-up today is genuinely looking after your health. I support my body with numerous vitamins, and I purchase every one of them at Costco.
Whether I’m shopping for prenatal supplements or fish oil, I appreciate the combination of quality and generous quantities.
Costco also removes much of the exhaustion that can come with choosing vitamins. Its assortment gives me enough choice to find what works best without leaving me buried in options.
Purely Indulgent towels offer affordable luxury.
Owning premium bath towels once felt like a splurge, but Costco has made them an inexpensive upgrade that turns our bathroom into a resort-like retreat.
I always watch for the Purely Indulgent 100% HygroCotton towels, which are both budget-friendly and wonderfully soft. I’ve noticed that ours become even plusher as time passes.
I’ve purchased them on sale for as little as $4.99 each. While bundles from the brand are available from retailers such as Amazon and Walmart, I particularly like that Costco also sells the towels individually.
They go on sale several times a year at my local warehouse, so I hold off on buying a fresh set until that welcome discount sign appears.
I purchase all my Apple devices from Costco.
As a full-time freelance writer and editor, I spend nearly all my time on my computer. My job depends on having an efficient, up-to-date computer, reliable earbuds, and external monitors.
I’d rather avoid the 30-minute trip to the Apple Store and its lengthy waits, so I buy my devices from Costco instead. The savings are another benefit: MacBook Air models are often less expensive there, and I’ve spotted some discounted to below $1,000.
There’s also something uniquely convenient about buying a new laptop in the same trip as a large bunch of bananas.
If you want a mattress that feels like sleeping on a cloud, this is the place to look.
My family has bought every mattress we own from Costco. More specifically, we watch for the exceptionally comfortable Sealy Posturepedic models that our neighborhood warehouse carries a few times each year.
Many affordable mattresses are available, but in my view, Sealy Posturepedic models surpass the competition in comfort. I also haven’t found them priced this low anywhere else.
At Costco, I bought one for less than $500, while prices on Sealy’s website begin at roughly $600 or $700.
Finally, I browse the baby and toddler clothing every month.
I enjoy wandering through the apparel area several times a month to check out the latest arrivals and discounts. Most of my little one’s most durable outfits have come from Costco’s well-known clothing tables.
I always look for Carter’s baby clothes and have found charming sets for about $12.
