Bon Jovi’s catalog is surging on the Billboard charts this week. The band’s music has become immensely popular again thanks to the release of a new docuseries about them and their rise to the top called Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story. Following that show premiering on Hulu, the group’s name can be found all over a number of weekly rankings–and there’s one that they dominate more than all the others.
The rock band claims five current hits on this week’s Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart. The tally, which was shortened last year, only features 10 spaces, which means Bon Jovi occupies half of all the available real estate.
Bon Jovi returns to the No. 1 spot on the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart this week, which is a quick indication of their current success. “Livin’ on a Prayer” bolts back to the summit–a position it’s already claimed before. It remains the band’s only leader on this roster.
This week, “Livin’ on a Prayer” jumps from No. 10 to No. 1. In doing so, it pushes Disturbed’s “Sound of Silence” off the throne…and that tune takes quite the tumble. That cover slides from the highest rung to No. 9.
Three Bon Jovi singles return to the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart this week. “It’s My Life” reappears at No. 3, “You Give Love a Bad Name” blasts back onto the tally at No. 4, and “Wanted Dead or Alive” can be found at No. 6. All of those cuts have previously spent time on the tally in the past.
Close to the bottom of the list comes a new hit from Bon Jovi…though the track isn’t actually new. “Runaway” debuts at No. 8 on the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart this frame.
A number of these hits either soar or return to other Billboard charts at the same time. The band can be found on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs and Rock Digital Song Sales rankings as well. Their Greatest Hits: The Ultimate Collection compilation is also on the rise on at least five tallies this time around.
