A Working Man — the Jason Statham action thriller that’s poised to seize Snow White’s box office crown this weekend — is new in theaters. When will you be able to stream the movie at home?
Directed by Statham’s The Beekeeper director David Ayer, A Working Man opened in theaters Friday. The official summary for the movie reads, “Levon Cade left his profession behind to work construction and be a good dad to his daughter. But when a local girl vanishes, he’s asked to return to the skills that made him a mythic figure in the shadowy world of counterterrorism.”
Statham stars as Levon in A Working Man, which is produced by Sylvester Stallone. The film also stars Isla Gie as Levon’s daughter, Merry. The cast of A Working Man also includes David Harbour, Michael Peña, Arianna Rivas and Jason Flemying.
Currently, the only way you can see A Working Man is in theaters, so check your local listings for showtimes.
The first stop for A Working Man will be on digital streaming via premium video on demand. Generally, Amazon/MGM Studios, which released A Working Man, has about a three-week to a monthlong window from the time its films premiere in theaters and arrive on PVOD.
For example, the studio’s Channing Tatum crime thriller Blink Twice, which was released in theaters on Aug. 23, 2024, debuted on PVOD on Sept. 17. The Beekeeper’s theatrical to PVOD release window was even shorter. Opening in theaters on Jan. 12, 2024, The Beekeeper arrived on PVOD 18 days later, on Jan. 30.
If A Working Man follows the same PVOD pattern as Blink Twice and The Beekeeper, then the film could arrive anytime between April 15 and April 29, since new PVOD releases generally come out on Tuesdays.
New PVOD releases generally run from $19.99 to $29.99 to purchase and $14.99 to $24.99 to rent for a 48-hour period. PVOD purchases and rentals are generally available on a variety of digital platforms including AppleTV, Fandango at Home and Prime Video.
Which Streaming Service Will Get ‘A Working Man’ First?
Since A Working Man is an Amazon/MGM Studios release, the MGM+ streaming service will be the first place users can watch the film on streaming video on demand.
MGM+ is an ad-free platform that subscribers can get for $6.99 per month or $58.99 per year.
Generally, there is a three-month window from the time an Amazon/MGM Studios film opens in theaters until the time it arrives on MGM+. For example, The Beekeeper arrived on SVOD on MGM+ on April 19, 2924, three months and a week after its Jan. 12 debut in theaters.
In addition, Blink Twice debuted on SVOD on MGM+ on Nov. 21, 2024, a little under three months after its August 23, theatrical release.
If A Working Man follows the same SVOD release pattern as Blink Twice and The Beekeeper, then the film could debut on MGM+ anytime between April 20 and April 27, since new SVOD releases generally arrive on Fridays.
