Randy Ortonâs return was strongly teased on WWE Raw as he will likely be joining the babyface team of Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, Sami Zayn and Seth Rollins at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames. Team Cody had until the end of the night to select a tag team partner, and Cody Rhodes noted he would call an old friend to fill the spot. Rhodes later used terms such as âlegacy,â âapex predatorâ and âhearing voices in his headâ to suggest Orton would be in their corner.
WWE Raw advertised a singles match to decide the man advantage for this Saturdayâs WarGames match at WWE Survivor Series. Raw also advertised Drew McIntyre addressing his actions after apparently aligning with the Judgment Day, The Man Becky Lynch continuing her feud with Xia Li and Raquel Rodriguez vs. Nia Jax.
Last weekâs broadcast of WWE Raw garnered 1.467 million viewers.

Drew McIntyre Explains Heel Turn
Drew McIntyre cut a fantastic heel promo just days after Santos Escobarâs strong heel promo.
Jey Uso threatened to give McIntyre a âyeet down.â
Drew McIntyre confirmed he did not join the Judgment Day, but he is teaming with them. McIntyreâs association with the group has led to further tensions between Rhea Ripley and soon-to-be ex-Judgment Day member Damian Priest.
When Adam Pearce demanded the babyfaces find a fifth member by the end of the night, fans immediately started chanting âRandy!â
Nia Jax Def. Raquel Rodriguez
Raquel Rodriguez was in the rare role of undersized babyface against Nia Jax and she did a helluva job.
This match was built around Rodriguez trying to slam the big giant in Nia Jax. She tried time and again and fans in Michigan really got behind Rodriguez, who was selling her back. It was more entertaining than most four-star NJPW matches.
Nia Jax ultimately won the match before Raquel Rodriguez could slam her. What a waste of a potentially great pop.
Becky Lynch Def. Xia Li
With fans on high alert for CM Punk this week, Michael Cole made sure to call Becky Lynch âone of the best in the world.â
Xia Liâs facial expressions were incredible, especially as she became more frustrated with Becky Lynchâs resilience.
Wade Barrett went as far as to compare this match to a WrestleMania main event.
Xia losing to Becky and likely losing to NXT womenâs champion Lyra Valkyria suggests her push may be over before it starts, which would be a shame.
Johnny Gargano Def. Ludwig Kaiser
Ludwig Kaiser told Giovanni Vinci to stay in the back, leaving the door open for DIY to finally get their lick back.
There were loud âJohnny Wrestlingâ chants in Michigan, which is not too far from Garganoâs hometown of Cleveland, Ohio.
As fate would have it, Vinci walked out and accidentally cost Kaiser the match.
Tegan Nox And Ivy Nile Win Tag Team Fatal 4-Way
This match was built around Maxxine Dupri, and Michael Cole marveled about how much she has improved.
Tegan Nox and Ivy Nile are trending toward facing Chelsea Green and Piper Niven in another battle of random womenâs tag teams.
As a make-good with the menâs tag team division, Adam Pearce announced a Tag Team Turmoil match next week to decide the No. 1 Contenders. Sidebar: Akira Tozawa is getting massively over with every passing week.
The Miz And GUNTHER Face Off
This was basically a WWE vs. AEW discussion as The Miz took up for entertainment while GUNTHER preached the values of wrestling. In AEW, the sports entertainers who are supposed to be heel ended up getting over by doing sports entertainment. In WWE, the pro wrestler who is supposed to be heel will beat the sports entertainer at Survivor Series. Strange times.
Shinsuke Nakamura Def. Chad Gable
There was zero heat for this match, and all of a sudden, Gable seems lightyears away from the IC Title rematch against GUNTHER that he so richly deserves.
Either WWE is building Shinsuke Nakamura up for something big, or his continued descent into madness will lead to midcard comedy.
Drew McIntyre Def. Jey Uso; Randy Orton Return Tease
Backstage, Cody Rhodes confirmed âheâs in,â and his teammates were excited.
Drew McIntyre felt so natural playing a heel throughout this match.
Given how long McIntyreâs heel turn has been brewing, I was surprised at the lack of heat this match had early on.
Surprisingly, Drew McIntyre won with a Future Shock DDT. He did so after failing to connect on a â3…2…1…â Claymore.
Cody Rhodes gave every Randy Orton tease imaginable, but Randy Orton didnât show up. Raw went off the air before the crowd turned on the babyfaces for teasing Orton and not delivering.
