While many already consider summer their favorite time of year, Ocean Casino Resort—the iconic 20-acre Atlantic City hotel gracing the Atlantic City Boardwalk—has been making this season one for the books with festive offerings, new food and beverage outlets, and one-of-a-kind collaborations.
So if you’re looking for a last-minute summer vacation that checks off all the boxes, book a room at Ocean Casino Resort: here are five reasons why.
Birthday Bar Pop-up
Instead of celebrating their anniversary for a few days or weeks like other hotels, Ocean Casino Resort has been pulling out all the stops for its fifth birthday all summer long with sweepstakes, giveaways, and entertaining activations such as the Birthday Bar Pop-Up. Unveiled on June 30 with a bash hosted by ‘Vanderpump Rules’ star Jax Taylor, the whimsical, party-themed pop-up taking over the space of 1927 Lounge through Labor Day whips up whimsical, dessert-like libations such as Ocean’s 5th Birthday Cake Martini blended with local 48 Blocks Chocolate Martini.
New Food and Beverage Outlets
Despite being home to well-curated eateries that cater to all appetites and budgets, from Zhen Bang Noodle & Sushi, an exceptional Chinese-American restaurant to the classic chophouse Ocean Steak, Ocean Casino Resort is always seeking ways to offer guests even more options. Last month, the property opened The Soup Spot, a casual nook doling out made-from-scratch, imaginative soups like BLT and Chicken Pot Pie, with an appearance by actor Larry Thomas, who played Yev Kassem, the infamously irascible soup chef on “Seinfeld.”
Another new spot, Bottled: Wine, Spirits & Tastings stocks a smart selection of wines and spirits, and select vintages by the glass via state-of-the-art Enomatic dispensers. Cheese and cured meats are also available if you’re feeling peckish.
Unique Culinary Collaborations
Ocean Casino Resort undertands Atlantic City’s growth is dependent on far more than casinos—it has to include local businesses, too. With that in mind, the property teamed up with several area brands on limited-edition products that can be enjoyed on-site and right from home if you purchase them. Across the Boards is a spicy-sweet condiment by Hank Sauce blended with red fresno peppers, pineapple, and a touch of agave that complements just about everything, from Villian and Saint’s Birria pizza to Makai’s Hawaiian breakfast plate.
A creation of Atlantic City’s sole brewery The Seed, Seeds of The Ocean is a Keller Pils-style beer brewed with locally-sourced malt, hops, and marigold for a deeply earthy and citrusy character. It pairs remarkably well with most food, but especially with the HIGH 5 pizza at neighboring Tony Boloney’s Atlantic City. The original pie features fermented dough made with Seeds of The Ocean, and is smothered with fried chicken—whose batter also features the beer—and Across the Boards hot sauce.
Atlantic City’s Best Outdoor Pool and Cabanas
To cool off and beat summer’s sizzling heat, book one of the The Cabanas at Ocean. Accommodating four to 16 guests, these private havens are appointed with everything you need (imagine loungers, fridge with cold beverages, and a television) to keep comfortable while having access to an adults-only pool overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. There’s a full menu as well, including frozen cocktails and casual bites like shrimp rolls, poke bowls, and a hummus plate.
A New Helipad and Even More Rooms
Why pull up in a car when you can swoop down in a helicopter? Perched high atop the property’s 13-floor garage, Ocean Casino Resort’s new helipad lets VIPs and high rollers fly in and exit with ultimate ease and comfort. And since last year, after a comprehensive refresh of several hundred rooms with a calming, nautically-inspired “Contemporary Blu” decor, the property uneveiled even more new accommodations to meet the soaring demand.
