You may have already heard the news that Steph Curry is parting ways with longtime sponsor Under Armour, whether through a press release, an update from NBA insider Shams, or simply by catching his recent tunnel walk in the Puma Hali 1 “Hibiscus.” Now, the Hali 1 is officially planted its feet on the map of the sneaker world and the tunnel for good.
Tyrese Haliburton, the Indiana Pacers guard, has been going full throttle with his Puma partnership since their union, rolling out ads, merch drops, on-the-nose marketing pushes, and a steady drip of slow-release sneaker color-ways. The Puma Hali 1 “Hibiscus” was first teased alongside the announcement of the Salehe Bembury designed silhouette, which debuted in the 2024–2025 season. Now, with “Hibiscus,” a new color-way joins the growing lineup.
Following his other, more recognizable and coveted color-ways , including the player exclusives (PE) inspired by his dog that dropped before he even received his first signature sneaker, this feels like a more sophisticated, accessible, and widely digestible direction. A shift away from the all cookie-butter–toned, fur-covered pairs, “Hibiscus” lands as a streamlined evolution in the color-story Haliburton is trying to paint.
And although the sneakers had an unorthodox debut — Haliburton first wore them during the NBA Finals, where he sustained an Achilles tear in Game 7 — that moment didn’t deter him from releasing the pair. In an Instagram caption, he explained their significance: “This is the most special color-way to me. From my first ever wear test, to a game winner in the NBA Finals, to the injury, to getting engaged, through all the recovery, these have been the ones. Excited for people to finally get their hands on them!”
The Puma Hali 1 “Hibiscus” that released on November 26, 2025, retailing for $130, comes in a dusted pink reminiscent of the hibiscus flower, paired with a brown leather toecap that adds a subtle, grounding contrast. The palette blends harmoniously: maroon-stitched suede melts seamlessly into a silky salmon pink mesh, which also gives the appearance of salmon skin, texturally, on the sole. Along the upper, this color-family evolves, creating a soft gradient with textural and pattern differences. The standout detail is the glossy, oversized Puma cat logo that sweeps across the back and midfoot.
This drop, as subtle and classic as it gets for a signature sneaker, just proves that the collaborative vision between Puma and Haliburton is one that will keep evolving through his vision as he continues his 2025-2026 off-court.
