The upcoming first DLC pack for Super Robot Wars Y, and one of the new series featured is the fan favorite The Big O.
The Big O is a fun series with a decidedly noir feel, as many of the production team at Sunrise had already worked on Batman: The Animated Series.
Much like Batman, The Big O features Roger the negotiator in Paradigm City, and naturally, when things go awry, he has a faithful butler to launch his giant robot, the titular Big O, to help Roger “persuade” various villains to reappraise their life choices.
The Blu-ray release from a few years back is also highly recommended, so definitely check that out if you have the time.
In terms of the Super Robot Wars series, The Big O was a continuing fixture in the Super Robot Wars Z trilogy of games, as well as many others, so it’s nice to have it back.
As for the other two series featured in the first DLC pack, those are Galaxy Cyclone Braiger and Fuuto PI: The Portrait of Kamen Rider Skull.
If you bought any of the non-standard editions of Super Robot Wars Y, you will get this first DLC pack on November 18, whereas it goes live separately on November 20.
In addition to the new DLC, there will be a free update to the game on November 17, featuring a special mission called Battle Rush, new EX Level Pilot Skills, DLC 1 Mission 1 A Smile on the Street Corner, and other additional improvements.
