The NYT Mini is a quick version of the newspaper’s larger, long-running crossword. Most days, there are between three and five clues in each direction on a five by five Mini grid, but the puzzles are sometimes larger, especially on Saturdays.
Unfortunately, the New York Times has now made the Mini available only to subscribers. It was previously free to play. You’ll also need an NYT Games subscription to access previous puzzles in the archives.

I generally do not like the use of the rebus, but this was a fun one to celebrate Halloween as it only showed up after the complting the rest of the puzzle as a jokey jump scare of sorts.
