Last week, Lisa returned to a number of Billboard charts as a soloist alongside Maroon 5. The pop band recruited the Blackpink superstar to lend some star power to its new single, and the plan worked.
“Priceless” quickly became a hit across several pop radio formats. This frame, the tune debuts on yet another one of Billboardâs rosters dedicated to showcasing what pop cuts America is hearing on the airwaves. As it arrives, the singer and rapper matches one of the biggest names in the K-pop space in a very specific fashion.
Lisaâs New Radio Hit
“Priceless” opens at No. 29 on the Adult Contemporary chart this week. It earns Lisa her second career win as a soloist on the tally. She first debuted on her own with “Moonlit Floor (Kiss Me),” which arrived only a few weeks ago in March and spent 10 weeks on the list before disappearing.
Lisa Matches BTSâs Feat
Lisa is just the second K-pop act to appear on the Adult Contemporary chart more than once â and sheâs the first soloist to manage the feat. BTS became the first South Korean musical act to accrue a pair of wins, and then the first to snag three, several years ago. In 2021, the septet reached the ranking with “Dynamite” and “Butter,” as well as “My Universe,” the groupâs collaboration with Coldplay.
While Lisa is originally from Thailand, sheâs most closely associated with the South Korean music industry and with K-pop. Much of her solo output can be classified under different pop subgenres, but since she got her start as a member of Blackpink, sheâs usually considered a K-pop musician as well.
âPricelessâ With Maroon 5 is on the Rise
As it debuts on the Adult Contemporary chart, “Priceless” rises on both the Pop Airplay and Adult Pop Airplay tallies, where it launched last frame. This time around, it jumps four spaces to No. 22 on the former tally and five spots to No. 12 on the latter list, coming in just below the top 10. Thereâs a good chance that, thanks to the popularity of the cut and Maroon 5âs impressive track record, the two may jump into the highest tier on the Adult Pop Airplay ranking in just a few days.
