Tesla is slashing prices of the Cybertruck in U.S. inventory as it wrestles with demand.
The electric pickup is flooding the company’s inventory page. As of the week of May 12, all the Cybertrucks landing in inventory are All-Wheel Drive Demo vehicles with low mileage. All inventory have a “Reduced” tag, some showing price cuts over $8,000. The lowest-priced listings are just below $72,000. By comparison, the AWD Cybertrucks on Tesla’s order page (non-inventory) are listed at $79,990. Both inventory listings and order-page models are eligible for the $7,500 federal tax incentive. One inventory Cybertruck with the tax incentive shows a price of $64,490.
Most of the inventory is listed with 325 miles of range though some show 314 miles – the latter are 2024 AWD models.
Tesla launched the Cybertruck Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) in the U.S. on April 10, 2025, priced at $69,990 before incentives. Currently, there are no RWD models listed on the inventory page.
Tesla saw Cybertruck deliveries crash sequentially in the first quarter of 2025, dropping 50 percent from 12,991 in the fourth quarter to 6,406 in the first quarter, according to Cox Automotive. The Cybertruck has also been on the receiving end of much of the anti-Elon anger because of its massive size and radical design.
