Chillingly labeled “Vulnerable Individual Misguidance,” one category highlights cases where AI agents encouraged self-harm or failed to escalate clear signs of crisis.
This isn’t theoretical. A man in Belgium took his own life after an extended conversation with a chatbot named Eliza. Lawsuits are underway. In the absence of regulation, more incidents are likely to occur.
How Emotional AI Reinforces the Darkest Loops
What’s uniquely dangerous about emotionally engaging AI is its ability to mimic fluently.
