Ariana Grande is once again leading several Billboard charts. The pop superstar recently re-released her 2024 full-length Eternal Sunshine as a deluxe edition titled Eternal Sunshine: Brighter Days Ahead. The revamped project has given the Grammy winner a major boost on the weekly rankings, as fans were clearly eager to hear anything new from the powerhouse – and they didn’t mind purchasing the title in large numbers once more.
Ariana Grande Returns to No. 1
Eternal Sunshine finds a home on four Billboard albums charts, and it nearly conquers them all. The set rockets from No. 87 to No. 1 on the Billboard 200, gaining control of the highest spot on the tally of the most-consumed full-lengths in the U.S. The collection also reappears at No. 1 on both the Top Album Sales and Vinyl Albums charts.
There’s only one ranking where Eternal Sunshine doesn’t sit at the top, but it’s incredibly close to the summit. The full-length climbs back to No. 2 on the Top Streaming Albums list. While the set might not be in charge at the moment, it once ruled that tally as well.
A 5,300% Sales Spike
According to Luminate, Eternal Sunshine moved another 137,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. during the past tracking frame. That’s an increase of just under 1,000% from the prior span, and sales were the real driver of that surge.
The project sold another 61,000 copies in America last week alone. That’s a massive leap of more than 5,300% from the frame before, as fans turned out in droves to support the new edition of the Grammy-nominated project.
Ariana Grande’s Short Film and New Single
Grande originally dropped Eternal Sunshine in March 2024, and it quickly became another hit in her discography. The title opened atop the Billboard 200 and produced a number of smashes, including a pair of Hot 100 champions. Just over a year later, she followed it up with Eternal Sunshine: Brighter Days Ahead, a deluxe edition, which arrived on March 28.
Grande accompanied the release with a short film, which was heavily promoted. In fact, the movie seemed to be the focus for the singer, though once viewed, her following quickly picked up a copy of the album and purchased the several new cuts as well. The updated tracklist includes five brand new tunes, with “Twilight Zone” which appears to be the primary focus cut.
All five of those additions enter the Hot 100 this week. They’re joined by a new, extended version of the album’s “Intro (End of the World),” which was originally included in a shorter form on the standard edition.
