Mother’s Day is a day to celebrate all things mom and what better way to celebrate than with a cocktail?
Mother’s Day always falls on a spring Sunday, making brunch a great opportunity to celebrate with a great meal and a few drinks, preferably out on a sunny patio where you can enjoy the warming temperatures.
As for what drinks to make? The right cocktail for your Mother’s Day celebrations depends a bit on your mom. If your mom is typically a wine drinker, then something like a Peach Bellini with frozen peaches and sparkling wine can be a great choice for a simple Mother’s Day cocktail. The peaches will add a sweet delicious twist to the wine, making it even more special.
For slightly more adventurous moms, a French 75 combines champagne and whisky for a delicious treat, and a Vermuttino can be a wonderful low-ABV cocktail for moms who want to sip on something celebratory but want to be able to drive how after the celebrations end.
One cocktail that’s bound to be popular this Mother’s Day is the Espresso Martini. The drink is still topping cocktail lists around the country and can be a great-spirited substitute for a cup of Joe at brunch or after an evening meal.
