The first few episodes of the sixth season of The Circle are now streaming. As you watch the social media competition, you might be curious when new episodes of The Circle will come out on Netflix. Read on for the full release schedule for Season 6 below.
Launched in 2020, The Circle is Netflix’s version of the social media game show based on the British TV series of the same name. In the competition, 11 contestants will strategize, plot, and hashtag their way to become the top influencer, with one winner earning a cash prize of $100,000. Comedian Michelle Buteau returned as host for the sixth installment.
Viewers should note a few differences in Season 6 from past seasons. First, the players will be living in a brand-new apartment building. While previous versions were filmed in a small town in Northern England, Season 6 is based Atlanta, Georgia. Also, for the first time ever, an AI chatbot called Max will be competing alongside human contestants — potentially outsmarting them.
“Designed to become the most popular player in the game, Max has studied past seasons and used previous competitors as inspiration to create the perfect profile,” according to Netflix. “Basically, Max is social media catnip for the rest of the players, who initially have no idea that an AI bot is among them.”
The AI bot is a 26-year-old veterinary intern from the Midwest. Tudum writes that the bot chose its age to “leverage life experience and maturity while still playing youthful.” One of the bot’s strategies is holding a dog in his profile picture, noting that dogs “receive 38% more likes on social media.”
As for the human contestants, the 10 competitors include 31-year-old Kyle from Miami (who is entering the game with his furry friend Deuce), 29-year-old Cassie from Kentucky, 34-year-old Brandon from Ohio, 26-year-old Quori-Tyler from Los Angeles, 26-year-old Lauren from Philadelphia, 37-year-old Caress from Dallas, 29-year-old Myles from Los Angeles, 35-year-old Steffi from Redondo Beach, California, 21-year-old Autumn from Tennessee, and 24-year-old Jordan from Austin.
