Ten new restaurants have another great reason to book a table.
The Michelin Guide just announced the addition of ten New York City restaurants to its New York Guide, with cuisines ranging from Puerto Rican to upscale Japanese.
This is the first update to the New York Michelin Guide since October 2023, when 11 new restaurants were added including Little Myanmar, Monsieur Vo, Superiority Burger, Potluck Club and Torrisi, which went on to win a Michelin star at Novemberâs ceremony.
The April 2024 update includes two sushi spots, Bar Miller, a sustainable sushi counter in the East Village that opened in September 2023; and Shota Omakase, an Edomae-style omakase restaurant that opened in Williamsburg in October 2023.
The new Koreatown spot for double fried chicken and hotpot Moono, is on the list along with another modern Korean eatery, NĆksu, a 14-seat counter adjacent to the 34th Street subway at Herald Square.
The luxe Japanese-French fusion bistro Lâabeille Ă CĂŽtĂ© is also now in the guide, as is the new Chef’s Table at Brooklyn Fare, now under Chefs Max Natmessnig and Marco Prins at the back corner of Hellâs Kitchen grocery store.
Two popular but very different Thai restaurants are also now in the guide, Meatpacking Districtâs Bangkok Supper Club and Cobble Hillâs Untable.
Greenpoint, a hot dining destination this year, earned one recommendation. Cecily, the chic wine bar from Estela and The Four Horsemen alums is now in the guide.
The ten additions round out with a borough and cuisine rarely lauded in the Michelin Guide. Barrio, located on East Tremont Ave. in the Bronx, earned an inclusion with excellent Puerto Rican fare and cocktails.
There are over 300 restaurants currently included in the New York Michelin Guide, with updates posted throughout the year. All of the new inclusions are dubbed “Recommendedâ and could earn Bib Gourmand or Star awards in New York’s Michelin Guide selection for 2024, later this year.
