As the rainy season dies down in Florida and the holidays approach, Miami remains one of the top places to visit. There is nothing quite like spending the holidays on the beach, under sunny blue skies. Make sure to stop by some of these must-visit restaurants and hotels during your next trip to Miami. Some new, some timeless, all iconic.
Restaurants
MILA
The Riviera Dining Group continues to go from strength to strength, with each new venue they launch becoming an instant hotspot in Miami’s vibrant dining scene. However, while the group continues to launch numerous new brands, MILA remains one of the most loved and successful names under the group. MILA has secured and more so, maintained its spot as one of Miami’s hottest restaurants, for good reason. Offering a diverse and colorful menu, one can enjoy high quality sushi, exquisite cuts of A5 Wagyu, tapas and or even handmade pasta. It’s rare to see a menu with such variety that maintains quality across every section. Delving into the drinks, the cocktails and wine menus are long and diverse, with an attentive team helping you through each option; recommending the perfect drinks to pair with the dishes you choose. Beyond food and drink, MILA is also a vibrant after dinner spot. Dancers, musicians, and fire shows take place in the terrace area, which can be enjoyed at the bar, well stocked with a huge selection of spirits, from high-end Tequila to rare whiskeys. Dinner, drinks, or celebrations, MILA has something for everyone and can offer anyone a full and fun evening.
AVIV
Located in 1 Hotel South Beach, AVIV is the newest addition to one of Miami’s best hotels (but more on that below). Famed chef Michael Solomonov and Steve Cook, a well known restaurateur, have come together to deliver one of the most exciting Miami restaurant openings of 2025. AVIV features an easy, fun, yet greatly varied menu, allowing guests to easily delve into Israeli cuisine, whether they are beginners to the flavors or seasoned fans. What stood out most during my visit to AVIV was the team – Extremely friendly and helpful, the team take you through the menu in a fun way, without over-explaining or confusing hungry guests. The warm stuffed dates and the pomelo and feta salad were stand-outs one would not expect, while the beef and lamb were cooked to perfection. Pair your dishes with an option from the extensive wine list and you are in for a fantastic evening, all round.
Casa Neos
We delve into the heart of Mediterranean cuisine with Casa Neos, helmed by chef Michael Michaelidis. Inspired by Spain, Italy, Portugal, France, and a touch of Greece, the heart of Casa Neos lies in fresh produce, balanced flavors and unexpected combinations. The truffle arancini, hummus and seafood were all spectacular. Stepping back from the food, Casa Neos offers two floors of gorgeous Venetian-inspired decor, Mediterranean furnishings, warm lighting and cosy nooks across the entire property. Located right by the river, guests can also sit out on private balconies which overlook the passing super-yachts. A large and very well stocked bar also makes Casa Neos a great place for early drinks before heading out for a night on the town.
Hotels
1 Hotel – South Beach
Having previously stayed at the 1 Hotel London location, I went in expecting a fantastic experience. However, I was met with something even better; the flagship 1 Hotel South Beach location is an entirely different experience. The hotel feels like a mini-city in its own right; the gym and fitness center are more equipped than most major gyms, and is attached to a small breakfast and brunch restaurant which offers quick and healthy bites. Just outside, one is led to a huge private beach. The spa is world class and a varietys of pools, one rooftop pool and two others, allow guests to try something different daily, without anything feeling repetitive. The restaurants are also diverse, offering Japanese cuisine, Israeli, and health conscious and buffets options as well. Greenery and natural tonnes envelop the property, staying true to 1 Hotel’s mission towards sustainability, something challenging to maintain in a property so large. Yet the entire team pull it off, offering what feels like a natural haven within Miami’s bustling South Beach area. The hotel flows and blends together effortlessly, allowing guests to wonder through, discovering new areas with each step. A must-visit on your next trip to Miami.
Faena Miami Beach
If ever there was a definition of an “art hotel” it would be the Faena Miami Beach location. Created by Argentinian hotelier Alan Faena, the Miami location blends museum worthy art, lipstick red velvet, gold structures, and leopard print across 179 rooms, right by the beach. The hotel is also home to several exceptional restaurants with impeccable service. Pao by Paul Qui offers a vibrant and fresh evening of omakase dining while Los Fuegos delivers Argentinian flavors and cuts of meat cooked to perfection. The pool and beach areas are perfect for guests to relax, with quick service, quicker drinks, and a portable ice cream bar for an afternoon treat. The hotel spa offers fantastic services to those looking to relax, yet the gem of the hotel is the Faena Theater, which delivers world-performances weekly. For a trip filled with glam, award-winning performances, and an experience like no other, be sure to drop by Faena as a visitor or as a guest; you won’t be disappointed.
