Honey Don’t — a dark crime comedy starring Margaret Qualley, Aubrey Plaza and Chris Evans from director Ethan Coen — is reportedly coming soon to digital streaming. Find out when and where you can watch it at home.
Rated R, Honey Don’t opened in theaters on Aug. 22. The logline for the film reads, “Honey Don’t! is a dark comedy about Honey O’Donahue (Qualley), a small-town private investigator who delves into a series of strange deaths tied to a mysterious church.”
In addition to Qualley (The Substance), Plaza (The White Lotus Season 2) and Evans (Materialists), Honey Don’t also stars Charlie Day and Billy Eichner.
Honey Don’t is expected to be released on digital streaming via premium video on demand on Tuesday, Sept. 9, according to When to Stream. While the streaming tracker is typically accurate with its PVOD release reports, When to Stream noted that the release has note been announced or confirmed by Honey Don’t’s studio, Focus Features, and the date is subject to change.
When Honey Don’t arrives on PVOD, it will be available for digital purchase or rent on such platforms as Apple TV, Fandango at Home, Prime Video and YouTube. Prime Video currently has the film listed for pre-order for purchase for $24.99.
Since PVOD rentals are typically $5 less than purchase prices, Honey Don’t will likely be available to rent for 48 hours for $19.99.

Honey Don’t is still playing in theaters. Since the film’s release on Aug. 22, the film, which was only released in North American theaters, has earned $5.3 million. Honey Don’t had a reported production budget of $20 million before prints and advertising costs, according to Screen Rant.
Honey Don’t received a 47% “rotten” rating from Rotten Tomatoes critics based on 139 reviews.
The RT Critics Consensus for the film reads, “Disparate parts and desperate measures spell defeat for Ethan Coen this time around in a romp that tries to cast a wide net but will ultimately leave audiences saying, Honey Don’t.”
In addition, Honey Don’t received a 42% “rotten” score on RT’s Popcornmeter based on 250-plus verified user ratings.
Honey Don’t is expected to be released on PVOD on Sept. 9.
