BALL Watch Company has unveiled the Engineer Hydrocarbon DeepQUEST Protector, a purpose-built dive watch released in celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States Marine Corps. Limited to 250 pieces in each colorway (black or green), the DeepQUEST Protector is housed in a monobloc titanium case rated to 1,000 meters of water resistance.
The defining feature of the DeepQUEST Protector is its single-piece 42mm titanium case, eliminating a separate caseback to improve structural integrity. This construction, paired with an automatic helium escape valve integrated into the crown, allows the watch to endure prolonged saturation diving without damaging its seals or movement. The unidirectional ceramic bezel, offered in either black or green, is fade and scratch-resistant, complementing the high durability of the case.
Timekeeping is handled by the chronometer-certified BALL RR1101-C automatic caliber. It offers standard time and date functions, shock resistance to 7,500Gs, anti-magnetism to 4,800 A/m, and a 28,800 bph beat rate. On the dial side, the watch features 15 micro gas tubes for night-time visibility, revealed through cutouts beneath the dial rather than applied indices, creating a cleaner aesthetic while still offering continuous low-light readability. Additional Super-LumiNova on the ceramic bezel ensures elapsed time can be tracked even in total darkness.
The DeepQUEST Protector measures 15.5mm in height and comes mounted on a tapered titanium and stainless steel bracelet, equipped with BALL’s patented folding buckle and dive extension system. Each watch is engraved on the caseback with a commemorative Jolly Roger-style insignia, in reference to the watch’s tribute to the elite spirit of the U.S. Marines.
Priced at $4,199 USD, the DeepQUEST Protector will begin delivery in October 2025.
