The 2025 Couture Design Awards was held Saturday at the Wynn Las Vegas, once again serving as the premiere event of The Couture Show, a jewelry and watch trade fair that features jewelry designers, brands and artists that was held June 4 â 8.
This awards program is the one-time jewelry designers from around the world along with their teams and their families get together to celebrate the best in design and artistry. Win or lose the atmosphere in the Wynn Las Vegas Encore theater is celebratory and supportive. The awards also carry a certain level of prestige as it is the most important jewelry design awards program in North America and one of the most important in the world.
Designers, artists and brands selected to the invitation-only jewelry and watch trade fair can enter the competition.
The finalists and winners in 12 categories are selected by a panel of judges representing the breadth of professionals in the jewelry and watch industry. In addition, thereâs a âBest in Editorsâ Choiceâ decided by attending media, and a âBest in Peopleâs Choiceâ selected by Coutureâs retail partners (retailers also attend by invitation).
Jeff Feero, managing partner of the Alex Sepkus jewelry manufacturing company, was presented with the Cindy Edelstein Award, for his ability to discover and nurture talent.
Jan Mohr, Coutureâs longtime retailer liaison, who is retiring after this yearâs event, was surprised with a new award, Hidden Gem, intended to honor an individual in the retail space who consistently showcases kindness, respect and dignity to everyone around them, and has a sense of style, grace and aplomb, even under pressure.
âWith all the craziness in the world itâs nice to be back as a community to remember how strong we are together and how much joy we bring to the world,â Gannon Brousseau, director of Couture, said when opening the awards presentation. âAfter all the hard work each of you has diligently committed to making this event, and this community, so special, itâs great to finally take a moment to celebrate your success.â
