In case you missed Monday’s NYT Mini Crossword puzzle, you can find the answers here:
They say that April showers bring May flowers, but frankly this May is bringing its own showers. It was another rainy Cinco de Mayo yesterday, but we need the moisture. We didn’t get enough snow this winter, and I’m worried about fire season. Let’s not think about that for now! We have a Mini Crossword to solve . . . .
The NYT Mini is a smaller, quicker, more digestible, bite-sized version of the larger and more challenging NYT Crossword, and unlike its larger sibling, it’s free to play on the New York Times website or NYT Games app. However, you’ll need an NYT Games subscription to access previous puzzles in the archives.
If you need a little help solving the Mini Crossword as fast as possible, read on for all of today’s answers.
Spoilers ahead!
ACROSS
1 — Everest and Kilimanjaro abbr — MTS
4 — A little horse — FOAL
5 — A little hoarse — RASPY
6 — Perfect — IDEAL
7 — Unlike houses that have been professionally staged — MESSY
DOWN
1 — Hero of the Passover Seder — MOSES
2 — Spanish small plates — TAPAS
3 — In a sneaky way — SLYLY
4 — Lessen over time — FADE
5 — What airballs fail to touch — RIM
Not a terribly challenging Mini today, but not without its tricksy words. A little horse could be a pony or a colt or, as it so happens, a FOAL. Of course I didn’t think of that right away. Thankfully, MOSES and TAPAS were dead giveaways and that helped fill in a lot of the other blanks. This one took me 1:16.

If you also play Wordle, I write guides about that as well. You can find those and all my TV guides, reviews and much more here on my blog. Thanks for reading!
