One day after Google launched its Pixel 9a with a handful of discounts, Samsung is running a new promotion that gives away an expensive freebie, alongside enhancing trade-in prices, when buying the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.

If you follow my stories, you will know that Samsung likes to give free watches, earbuds, or even laptops to smartphone buyers in random deals. The new promotion is one of the company’s better giveaways because it includes a free pair of Galaxy Buds 3 Pro (worth £219/$285.84) with all Galaxy S25 Ultra purchases in the U.K. Unlike a recent Galaxy A56 deal, which saw the company’s cheapest earbuds bundled with the phone, these are Samsung’s best headphones.
The free earbuds only form one part of the promotion. Galaxy S25 Ultra buyers get Gemini Advanced and 2TB of Google Cloud storage for six months and enhanced trade-in pricing. Samsung’s U.K. and European trade-in valuations don’t match U.S. pricing. But what caught my eye was the promise of a minimum £200 ($261.05) for “any smartphone in any condition.”
One Of The Better Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Deals
Samsung ran an ‘any device in any condition’ style deal for the Galaxy S25 Ultra earlier this year. Before that, it offered the same swap when buying the Galaxy Watch FE. If you’re worried that Samsung will reject your battered 2016 Google Pixel 1, the company previously assured me it will truly accept any smartphone.
The terms and conditions note this type of deal, which falls outside of the company’s typical minimal requirements for traded-in devices. “We may also accept Existing Devices which do not meet the Minimum Requirements. If we are currently doing this, this will be indicated on our website.” That suggests the promotion’s claim of accepting any device in any condition is the final word.
Savvy shoppers can pick up ultra-cheap relic smartphones, like the Nexus 4, on eBay for under £20 ($26.10). Perhaps you have a first generation smartphone gathering dust in your discarded tech drawer that can be recycled for a new Galaxy S25 Ultra. I remain skeptical, but if you do take the Korean company up on this offer, let me know if you’re successful.
Combining the free earbuds and minimum trade-in price makes this $546.89 offer one of the better Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra deals, which is worth taking a serious look at. Samsung giving away one of its most expensive wearables, with its flagship smartphone, also marks the beginning of more serious discounts in the coming months. Especially in the run-up to the Galaxy Fold 7 release and Google’s Pixel 10 launch this summer. Stay on top of the latest deal news by hitting the follow button below, or following me on Facebook.
