In celebration of its 20th anniversary, Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant is launching its first-ever blind tasting experience. Aptly named, Behind the Label, this experience will take place the entire month of April at all 68 locations across the country.
As the largest wine club in the country, Cooper’s Hawk was founded in 2005 and is known to be a highly experiential brand, with a wide array of delightfully approachable wines. It was also the first concept outside of wine country to combine a restaurant-winery with a Napa-style tasting room and specialty retail under one roof.
“As we celebrate 20 years of crafting exceptional experiences, I’m filled with immense gratitude for the journey that brought us here,” says Tim McEnery, CEO and founder of Cooper’s Hawk. “What began as a passion for food, wine and hospitality has blossomed into something far more meaningful—a platform for genuine human connection.”
McEnery opened the first Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant at the age of 29. Since that time, he has established one of the fastest growing, highest affinity brands in the United States, and Cooper’s Hawk has grown to 68 restaurants and tasting rooms across 12 states. McEnery’s visionary leadership and dedication to a community-based philosophy have created a unique blend of food, wine and hospitality, fostering a culture of inclusion.
In celebration of even more connection, the Behind the Label offering comes at a very affordable price point — making it inclusive for everyone (over 21 years old, of course). For just $12, guests can participate in the wine tasting at each location’s tasting bar. This tasting adventure features eight wines and four of the wines are poured blind. It’s a playful, educational twist on traditional tastings, that invites guests to sharpen their skills and explore new wines. Plus exciting prizes will be awarded at the end of the month including a Caribbean cruise with Virgin Voyages, a private dinner with celebrity chef Curtis Stone, and dinner for two for a year at Cooper’s Hawk.

The tasting experience ends with a fun video created by Wines that reveals exact what’s behind the label. No need to guess the wines correctly to win—guests just need to participate and scan a QR code to enter after you’ve completed your tasting.
