Taylor Swift doesn’t need a new single or album to dominate the charts. She could take several years off and still be one of the most successful artists on rankings all around the world every week…not that she would do such a thing.
Even in a relatively quiet week for the superstar, she’s still climbing. The singer-songwriter is enjoying a particularly notable frame in the United Kingdom, where her existing catalog is surging. Every one of her albums that appears on the charts this week improves in standing, an impressive feat – even for someone as consistently successful as she is.
Half a Dozen Taylor Swift Albums Climb the Official Albums Chart
On the Official Albums chart — the 100-spot ranking of the most-consumed full-lengths in the U.K. — Swift claims six positions this frame. For almost any other musician, that would be a career best. For Swift, though, it’s actually a somewhat standard showing, which speaks volumes about her chart power.
More notable than just the quantity of successes is the fact that all six of those projects are climbing this week. The Official Albums chart blends sales and streaming data to provide a snapshot of what music lovers in the U.K. are buying and playing, and clearly, Swift’s catalog is still top-of-mind for many.
Only One Taylor Swift Album Hits the Top 40
Only one Swift title breaks into the top 40 on the main albums list this time around. The Tortured Poets Department lifts slightly, rising from No. 31 to No. 28. That subtle gain makes it her highest-charting album of the frame, though every project is trending upward.
Each of the other five albums she places on the tally also grows, though none move dramatically. Most improve by between one and four spaces, with one making a slightly more noticeable leap of eight spots.
Every Swift Album on the Chart This Week Has Hit No. 1
Swift’s other five climbing albums this week include Folklore (No. 56), Lover (No. 65), 1989 (Taylor’s Version) (No. 68), Reputation (No. 73), and Midnights (No. 75). Each of those titles has previously reached the summit of the Official Albums chart.
Several have spent years on the list, with triple-digit frame counts to their names. The Tortured Poets Department is the only one that hasn’t yet crossed that one-year milestone, but that’s just because it hasn’t had the time. Released less than a year ago, the set is well on its way to joining its predecessors.
Taylor Swift’s Albums Are Climbing Across the U.K. Charts
Almost all of Swift’s charting albums are seeing improvements on multiple U.K. rankings. In many cases, they’re rising everywhere they appear.
Only 1989 (Taylor’s Version) fails to climb on every tally it currently lands on, slipping slightly on a few rankings. Several other titles, including Folklore and Lover, also manage to return to some rosters this week.
