This week is a very exciting several Blackpink members when it comes to their solo careers. Jennie’s debut full-length on her own, Ruby, debuts on multiple charts in the United Kingdom. Several tunes from the project also become hits as the South Korean superstar shows what she can do when given the chance.
As Jennie succeeds and scores multiple new smashes, one of her Blackpink bandmates is on the rise again. Rosé returns to multiple lists in the country with her first solo showing, which seems to have benefited from Jennie’s success, as well as the continued popularity of the project’s lead single.
Ruby Returns to the Charts
The debut full-length by Rosé breaks back onto a pair of rankings across the Atlantic. Rosie reenters the Official Physical Albums chart at No. 90. At the same time, it comes back to the Official Albums Sales list at No. 96.
Ruby’s History on the U.K. Rankings
This frame is the ninth for Rosie on both of those charts. It fell off not long ago, but it is sustained once more due to Rosé’s incredible popularity, as well as the ongoing success of “Apt.,” as the project’s never-ending smash has proved to have impressive staying power. In the past, Rosie rose as high as No. 3 on the two lists, as its performance on both the Official Albums Sales and Official Physical Albums charts seems to be perfectly linked.
“Apt.” is Back at No. 1
As Rosie returns, “Apt.” is still winning. The collaboration with Bruno Mars rises one spot to No. 1 on the Official Streaming chart, earning yet another turn as the most-played track in the U.K. on platforms like Apple Music and Spotify.
Rosé’s Smash Lives Inside the Top 10
“Apt.” lives inside the top 10 on two other rankings at the same time. It sits steady at No. 3 on both the Official Single Sales and Official Singles Downloads charts. Months into its time on the lists, it still ranks as one of the bestselling tracks in one of the largest music markets in the world, which speaks to the insatiable appetite the public seems to have for “Apt.”
“Apt.” Begins to Fall
On two more rosters, “Apt.” is not far from the highest tier. It falls outside the top 10 on the Official Physical Singles chart, dropping from No. 10 to No. 16. It also declines ever so slightly on the Official Singles chart, where it steps back from No. 13 to No. 15 after once stalling at No. 2.
