Elic Ayomanor is one of the most polarizing names in 2025 dynasty rookie rankings. Ayomanor had an incredibly productive sophomore campaign, making him an extremely desirable prospect from a statistical perspective.
On top of that, Ayomanor showed top-level athleticism at the NFL Combine, scoring a Relative Athletic Score of 9.78. The thing is that when you turn on the film, there are quite a few issues with Ayomanor’s game. Below, we’ll be breaking down his prospect profile and where he should be placed in 2025 dynasty rookie rankings.
Elic Ayomanor: Prospect Profile
Many people remember Ayomanor from his 2023 performance against Travis Hunter. Ayomanor had a highlight touchdown grab over Hunter on his way to an unreal performance. In that game, Ayomanor had 13 receptions for 294 yards and three touchdowns.
There are flashes of greatness from Ayomanor when you turn on the tape. At 6’ 2’’ and 206 lbs, Ayomanor has the upside to be a WR1 in the NFL. He’s able to show fluid route running and some great contested catches, but it’s very consistent.
Overall, Ayomanor doesn’t have consistent hands, posting an 8.7% drop rate in 2024. The contested catches aren’t constantly there either, as he posted a 48.3% rate last year. The flashes are very exciting, but throughout the year, Ayomanor hasn’t been consistent.
Projected NFL Draft Capital
Right now, I would project Ayomanor to go in the mid-third round. He’s a developmental player who’s worth taking a shot on, but he’s far too raw to be worth a second-round selection.
It seems like the NFL Draft community disagrees with that take, though. On NFL Mock Draft Database, Ayomanor has a consensus rank of 55th overall (second round).
As long as Ayomanor goes on day two, he’ll be worth taking a shot on in your rookie drafts. The difference between a third and fourth-round pick is drastic. According to a study, third-round picks have a 12.5% higher chance of becoming a WR1 and a 20.5% higher chance of becoming a WR2 than round-four picks.
Steve Bradshaw’s Rookie Rankings
When taking everything into account, Ayomanor is the WR11 in my 2025 dynasty rookie rankings. That makes him the 25th overall ranked player in Superflex leagues and 24th in a 1QB format. Ayomanor is worth a shot in the late second range, but his inconsistencies hold him back from being a top pick.
