Toast to the mother figure in your life this Mother’s Day with these cocktails almost as beautiful as their special inspirations.
The Rita
Served at Odd Sister NYC in New York City, this cocktail is made with Pinot Noir and strawberry syrup combined in a shaker with ice and then garnished with a lemon slice and thyme. “The Rita, has become a popular signature cocktail at Odd Sister. Pinot Noir and strawberry base, with flavors of sherry and thyme. This refreshing infusion was inspired by some of my grandmother’s favorites. Making this a sentimental touch to the menu, along with being the perfect Mother’s Day cocktail at Odd Sister!” said Clodagh Culkin, Odd Sister Managing Partner.
Pink Flower
This drink is bright and pretty, just like the woman being honored. At all bars onboard Crystal cruise line, the Pink Flower is made with Tanqueray Gin, elderflower liqueur, fresh lemon juice, fresh pink grapefruit juice, sugar syrup and grapefruit, for garnish.
Lavender Lady
Found at Proper Grit Whiskey Library & Supper Club at The Ben West Palm, Autograph Collection, this cocktail is made with Chambord, lemon juice, lavender and rosemary infused syrup, and sparkling Rose. “Crafting the Lavender Lady was a journey inspired by the timeless elegance of the Kir Royale cocktail; an elevated champagne cocktail that differs from the standard mimosa or bellini order, especially fitting for special occasions such as Mother’s Day. Infused with delicate notes of lavender and rosemary, each sip is a fragrant embrace, in an effort to complement the bouquets of flowers gifted on this holiday. The rest of the cocktail presents a perfect harmony of black raspberry tannins, bright lemon zest, and sparkling rose, evoking a true sense of celebration in every glass. To elevate the experience further, the cocktail is garnished with a lavender glitter powder made from dried lavender buds, indulging your taste buds and sense of smell with each sip,” said Randy Castillo, mixologist.
Parasol Spritz
On the menu at KIKI’S in La Quinta, California, this cocktail is made with Aperol Aperitivo, Grey Goose Vodka, heirloom pineapple Amaro, fresh lemon juice, and finished with Prosecco. The cocktail is then garnished with a slice of orange with edible gold coated and a Parasol straw. “An Aperol Spritz by any other name wouldn’t sound as sparkling. So, like a soliloquy we announce our flavors, with a fresh french canvas of Grey Goose. Then, tea and tart tropical tones hit our taste buds with a Pineapple Amaro. Right behind, we add the dancing nancies of effervescence wine. Ingeniously we parasol a straw that blocks the incandescent sun that tries to spoil mother’s fun. Dainty and delish gold can be, sitting on an Orange slice awaiting whatever mother’s needs may be,” said Joshua Lucs, mixologist.
Riviera Rosé

Asmodeus’ Obsession
At etc., in Nashville, this cocktail is made with Nelson bros. bourbon, orange blossom syrup, lemon, orange juice, and angostura bitters. “This drink is balanced just like Mom. The delicate orange blossom syrup balances out the spiciness of the bourbon, and the tartness of the citrus is balanced with the sweetness of the simple syrup. Whose mom wasn’t that perfect blend of strong when she needed to be, gentle when we needed her to be, and—often—doing both of those perfectly at the same time? Trust me: if you made it out of high school, then your mom embodied both of these traits,” said Ali Buchanan of the etc. marketing team.

Rose-Colored Blindfold
At Heirloom in Nashville, this is a fun twist on an Aperol Spritz, a carbonated cocktail that combines Aperol with strawberry, lemon, orange, and a punch of tequila. “There’s no better way to celebrate mom than with a summer Aperol Spritz, but I wanted to add more flavor and depth to the popular provision. Strawberry and orange juice compliment Aperol perfectly, and the touch of lemon adds acidity. I made it a little more robust with a pour of tequila to top it off. The whole drink is then carbonated for the effervescence of a spritz,” said Ryan Puckett, Area Beverage Director, Heirloom at Holston House.
