Everything about UFC 300 is huge.
The card is arguably the biggest and best in MMA history, and there will be a potentially massive announcement taking place at the weigh-ins.
Long-time combat sports journalist John Morgan posted this blurb from the UFC 300 weigh-in media program which has a “new equipment announcement and presentation” scheduled for noon.
Some have speculated the UFC is set to announce a partnership with a new company for the gloves the fighters wear in the Octagon. Sanabul, a company that makes MMA gear was among the first to reply to Morgan’s post.

The reply asked “new gloves,” with the thinking emoji.
Dyaco is the current maker of the 4-ounce gloves UFC fighters wear.
The gloves have been a consistent topic of conversation for years. Eye pokes have been an unwanted storyline in dozens of events.
Most recently, Chris Weidman scored a controversial victory over Bruno Silva via unanimous decision after victimizing the latter with a pair of blatant eye pokes.
If the UFC does change manufacturers for gloves, eye pokes will be one of the biggest focus areas fans and members of the media focus on in the first event in the new era.
