9-1-1 is coming to a new network for Season 7. The anticipated season premieres on Thursday, March 14, on ABC.
9-1-1 follows the lives and jobs of Los Angeles’ first responders, including police officers, paramedics, firefighters and dispatchers. The show stars Angela Bassett, Peter Krause, Oliver Stark, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Ryan Guzman, Aisha Hinds, Kenneth Choi, Corinne Massiah and Gavin McHugh. The show also led to a spin-off, 9-1-1: Lone Star.
While FOX canceled 9-1-1 after six seasons in May 2023, ABC saved the popular series. Season 7 is set to premiere with an episode called “Abandon ‘Ships.” In the episode, Athena, played by Bassett, and Bobby (Krause) are on their honeymoon at sea when armed pirates board the ship. The premier is part of a three-episode arc that has been described as part The Poseidon Adventure, part Titanic. The seventh season will also see a new time slot. The show originally came out on Wednesdays but was moved to Mondays. The show now comes out on Thursdays.
