WWE Raw advertised the Monday night returns of CM Punk and Randy Orton. Raw also advertised Tegan Nox and Natalya vs. Piper Niven, Bronson Reed vs. Ivar and Chelsea Green and a six-team menâs Tag Team Turmoil.
WWE Raw aired a special commercial-free first hour to celebrate its two high-profile returns, and the broadcast projects to draw one of the highest ratings of the year.

Randy Orton Returns To WWE Raw
Randy Orton told Mami that âDaddyâs back,â and it sent this crowd into a frenzy.
Randy Orton will actually be making his in-ring return tonight against Dominik Mysterio.
Randy Orton hit an RKO over JD McDonagh, who donned a neck brace to celebrate No Neck November.
The Creed Brothers Win Tag Team Turmoil
Akira Tozawa and Otis teamed up, because I guess Chad Gable didnât feel like doing any jobs tonight.
Akira Tozawa is great with Alpha Academy, but I think theyâd be a better fit in the New Day.
After DIY knocked off Alpha Academy DIY faced off against Indus Sher. There was no heat for this. The only pop came when Johnny Gargano scored a surprised rollup victory over Veer.
DIY ran the gauntlet until they ran into the New Day. Then the New Day lost to the Creeds, who went on to beat IMPERIUM. The Creed Brothers tag team title win feels inevitable, but hopefully it isnât too much, too soon.
Shinsuke Nakamura Attacks Cody Rhodes
Cody Rhodes received another rousing reaction and remains WWEâs top babyface despite the returns of Randy Orton and CM Punk.
Cody Rhodesâ mention of CM Punk was the first live mention of Punk, and fans reacted (mostly) kindly with âCM Punkâ chants. Ever the babyface, Rhodes said âwelcome back.â
Cody Rhodes said thereâs only one destination for him and thatâs why Rhodes will be the very first to declare himself for the 2024 Royal Rumble.
It turns out, the person Shinsuke Nakamura was talking about this whole time was Cody Rhodes. Shinsuke blew mist into Rhodesâ face.
Bronson Reed And Ivar Battle To A Double Countout
My expectations for this match were sky high. So much so, I was disappointed when it went to commercial break.
The new name for Bronson Reedâs finisher is the âDoomsault,â which is perfect.
For a match built around Big Meaty Men Slapping Meat, Valhalla everywhere…until she got kicked out.
Reed caught a diving Ivar but was too blown up to slam him, so he more-less dropped him.
The hoss fight ended in a double-countout, but not before Reed delivered a Death Valley Driver through the barricade. Sounds like theyâre saving the rest for later.
Bronson and Ivar made up for their underwhelming match with a great post-match brawl. Ivar flipping onto Reed garnered âholy sâtâ chants.
Nia Jax Def. Zoey Stark
Fans really reacted when Nia Jax teased her Annihilator finisher, but sadly Jax came crashing down.
Zoey Stark went right back to Square 1 with her loss to Nia Jax. Funny thing is, I donât expect Jax to challenge Rhea Ripley from here.
Drew McIntyre Confronts Seth Rollins
Seth Rollins answered CM Punk chants by calling Punk a hypocrite, which elicited boos.
Rollins was interrupted by fellow (kayfabe) malcontent Drew McIntyre. Rollins said there were people who deserved a world title shot more than McIntyre, so next week Rollins will be defending the championship on Raw. This led to a tepid reaction because of the whole ânext weekâ comment.
Rollins paused before saying who this match was going to be against, and there were only light chants of CM Punk. When Rollins confirmed it would be Jey Uso, fans exploded in âyeetâ chants.
A salty Drew McIntyre hit Rollins with a Glasgow Kiss before being run off by Jey Uso. McIntyre removed his kilt to reveal booty shorts. McIntyre seemed to be slightly bleeding from the spot, which is sure to garner reports from wrestling gossip websites that this brawl was a shoot.
Green And Niven Def. Natalya And Tegan Nox
WWE has actually been booking a long-term storyline between Natalya and Tegan Nox. Whether or not this is a good storyline remains to be seen.
This match was competitive early but Piper Niven ultimately ran through Tegan Nox to pick up the win. Surprisingly, Natalya didnât turn on Tegan just yet.
Randy Orton Def. Dominik Mysterio
Randy Orton ragdolled Dominik Mysterio onto the announce table several times to placate âone more time!â chants.
JD McDonagh took a suspension DDT, and at this point his neck will never heal.
Jelly Roll, who appeared throughout the night, was featured in this match as he jawed with the Judgment Day.
CM Punk Returns
There was an anti-Punk sign that read âCry me a River,â and WWE quickly cut away from it.
Fans showered Punk with cheers, and he begun his promo with âlooks like hell froze over.â
CM Punk announced âIâve changed,â and the crowd seemed skeptical at best.
CM Punk received a big pop for saying âIâm home,â leading to more chants of âCM Punk!â
Punk said WWE fans never forgot him, even when he wanted to forget him.
CM Punk said he was back because âI love you guys,â but by âyou guys,â I didnât know if he was talking about the fans or the Benjamins.
Punk made reference to something a âwisemanâ told him.
Punk said AJ Lee is fabulous and she sends her regards. This also got a big pop.
CM Punk called back to his pipebomb promo â…in this ring, on this microphone, even on commentary…â
