Fortnite Chapter 4, Season 2 is almost upon us and that means that the leaks and rumors have begun in earnest.
We’ve already seen the Attack On Titan and Battle Pass leaks. Now we have some sense of what kind of locations are coming to the map in Season 2.
It appears the new season will have a Japanese / Cyberpunk theme (echoing, to some degree, Season 2 of Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2 with its distinctly Japanese them, oddly enough).
Not only are we getting a Neo-Tokyo point of interest, it appears one of the game’s earliest locations is making a return, many years after the original map was deleted.
Lucky Landing was added to the OG Fortnite map way, way, way back in Season 3 of the first chapter, before we even called it a chapter. The location was clearly inspired by Japanese architecture and design. Pink cherry trees solidified the motif. Now, Lucky Landing is returning according to popular Fortnite leaker Hypex:
Here’s a larger version of that image:
We know very little about the new version of Lucky Landing, and this is all currently based on leaks rather than Epic Games making any sort of official announcement—so take it with a proverbial grain of salt. But still, it seems very likely that Lucky Landing, in some new iteration, will finally be back in Fortnite. Now if we could just get the OG map back in its entirety!
