Following the success of Bremontâs limited edition âWatermanâ, Bremont are now introducing a second edition to the watch in collaboration with brand ambassador Laird Hamilton.
Laird Hamilton is an American sportsman and pioneer renowned for conquering some of the biggest and mightiest waves this world has to offer.
This new watch called the Waterman Apex II is designed to celebrate life both above and below the waves and has been rigoursly tested by Hamilton himself.
This timepiece is water resistant to 500 metres and boasts a 50-hour power reserve.
The 43mm black steel case made with TripTick is scratch resistant and incorporates a uni-directional bezel.
Only 350 of the watches will be made and to add to the exclusivity and intrigue the matte black dial is made to look like a shark fin against the waves and is framed by a new dial flange aptly coloured in harbour blue.
The hands and indexes are filled with Super-LumiNova and are further accented with a vibrant orange colour for clear visibility while out on or under the water in low light hours.
Bremonts CEO Davide Cerrato said âThe Waterman Apex II personifies what being a waterman isâ.
The watch comes with a sleek and integrated rubber strap either in black or harbour blue, or a stainless-steel bracelet.
The watch also comes with an anti glare scratch resistant sapphire crystal, and only weighs in at 115 grams.
Purely for accuracy the movement used in this watch is a modified calibre BE-932AV 11 œ with 25 jewels, a glucydur balance wheel, an anachron balance spring and a nivaflex mainspring.
With the limited number attached to this watch and the pedigree of being tested by someone as respected as Laird Hamilton, this watch makes an interesting addition to any collection.
